OPPORTUNITY: Create a complete identity package for a new woman-owned plumbing company
OMW is one of only two woman-owned plumbing companies in the metro Phoenix area so that makes it unique but, we also wanted to capitalize on the personality and trustworthiness of the owner, Tammy Wadina.
SOLUTION: We began with the end product in mind: How could we make OMW plumbing trucks stand out and what did we want to communicate? Because Tammy, the founder and backbone of the company, is knowledgeable, trustworthy, dynamic and cute, we wanted people to connect emotionally with her. So, we decided on a combination business and personal brand using a life-like illustration of Tammy (which will not age or get a new hairdo). Likewise the bright colors reflect her energy and the “moving” OMW flinging water droplets behind it echoes her brand promise of a quick response: “Call today and I’m On My Way.”

OPPORTUNITY: Create speaking opportunities for author and entrepreneur Bette Laughrun
Bette Laughrun, in her mid-seventies, is a millionaire business owner and author of a book, “I Want What She’s Got: Secrets of an Outrageous Life.” However, she wanted to greatly increase speaking engagements, specifically targeting women of all ages about discovering and fulfilling their purpose in life.
SOLUTION: Bette admitted up front that, despite her youthful attitude and energy, some people dismiss her because of age. So, we created a marketing piece including a folder and inserts with bright, youthful yet elegant colors that complimented her book and existing website. The folder includes a picture of a younger woman – her target audience – and we chose to use the name Bette because it is uniquely spelled and automatically puts her on a first-name basis with her audience.
Capitalizing on the extensive email list she already had developed, we produced an email campaign aimed at the top 10, 100 and 400 contacts most likely to invite her to speak. Along with the teaser emails encouraging them to visit the website or download the first chapter of her book, the top 10 received a gift wrapped book and folder; the 100 group received a book; and the 400 received a folder.

CLEAN AIR CAB
OPPORTUNITY: Create a complete identity package for a new eco-friendly cab company
Because Clean Air Cab is a green company, the client wanted an organic feel and a unique look he could incorporate into the vehicle wrap design.
SOLUTION: We were actually the second company hired to create a brand marketing package. The other company had created a cartoon look and we knew it wasn’t a fit. Using planet earth as our inspiration, we chose a blue/green palate to reflect earth, water and sky and added a heavy dose of white to communicate “clean.” The backward and forward “C” in the logo was a “reflection” as well with the green leaf to show new life.
